TRIPTYCHS AND VISTAVISIONS

Extracts from various series themes. Inertia, stasis, celebration, speed-blur; expanded to the widescreen. The first, or last page of a novel. The possibility that things will become clearer later, or, without us realizing, have already been clarified. Exploring devices of editing and the organisation of narrative elements; attempting to capture, but not to lock significance. Raising the profile of less obviously significant visual details(subjects) to an ‘inappropriate’ level within the normal strata of objective reality. In the case of VistaVisions 3 & 4 (series extracts) the intention is either to ‘resurrect’ the subject to, or displace them from, the theatre of their life.
