New Paintworks

Paint/mixed-media paper-based works. I'm interested in exploring various visual modes, following first-hand observation. My intention is to try and take these, more often than not natural forms, beyond that which is tangibly visible, one stage 'away', it could be said, without abandoning their authenticity as natural artefacts/phenomena. Like any artist there is some point where I need to mediate that which I am representing - that's to say, slightly (or much) more than a straight replication - in which, purely representational case, an object or phenomenon can happily speak for itself. That's probably reasonable and hopefully makes sense?
